The National Film Heritage Mission (NFHM) aims to preserve, digitize and restore the filmic and non-filmic collection of Indian film heritage.
Some of the key objectives of the NFHM are to carry out:
India is a country of diverse cultures, languages and traditions. Films from across the regions of country have captured this diversity and the historical events of Indian history through over many years. Considering the voluminous and continually increasing diversity of collection with NFAI, it is necessary to arrive at parameters for selection of films for prioritization. NFAI conducted various stakeholder meetings across the country to solicit views from eminent producers, production houses, film historians, film critics, media labs, film related organization, etc.. The parameters for prioritization identified after these consultation are provided in the table below.
NFAI solicits views from the public at large on these parameters. In the following table, you may rank these parameters and also suggest additional parameters that you believe need to be considered. You are invited to submit your views latest by February 28, 2017.
